My brother was in WDW for a corporate event this week for a few days (including the behind the scenes all day tour.)

But one night he and 7 other colleagues ate at the regular Chefs De France restaurant. The bill for 8 of them was $350 (not bad for Disney standards) and he said everything was excellent. Fantastic service, amazing food.

The next night 13 of them at at The Bull and Bear at the Waldorf Astoria (I think I'm getting that right) and while attention to detail was outstanding, the food was just ok, nothing nearly as good as the previous night. Oh and it was $3,500!!!

Just interesting I thought.

Wowzers! That is one crazy meal. I'm glad/a bit surprised that Chefs was so reasonable!

Geez Louise....they could pull off that bill at Le Chefs if they all had only an entrée (run $25-30) and maybe a coke. I know Bull and Bear pricing but those 13 would have definitely been drinking more than just cokes in addition to the food to average $265 each....all I know is Chefs de France is an underrated gem in our book (shhhh, don't tell anyone)...

Some meals can be. Especially if there's wine involved.

The Chef's Table with wine pairing at Victoria and Alberts will be substantially more than this at around $400 per person before tip and I believe the Queen Victoria Room is not much cheaper

Yes, but when you go to Victoria & Albert's, you are going for a dining experience unlike what you would receive in a regular restaurant.

Actually I think it was food only. They did have a private room and their company logo was sewn onto the napkins (yikes) so it was something arranged for way in advance. Their company frowns upon drinking so I think was actually all food!
