We changed our reservations to have Askershush on my daughter's fourth birthday at 1:50 pm. I guess I didn't realize the lunch was a buffet as well. Looking at photos it looks like near everything on the buffet is seafood. Did anyone else like this restaurant and think there was enough non-seafood items available?

I remember the Norwegian dishes to be heavy on the seafood - specifically fish but I thought it was rather balanced with regards to the entrees & kid options. Have you checked the allears menu? And of course the chefs will surely accomodate her allergy as long as you note it in your ADR.
Meals at Akershus are a bit confusing. The "appetizer" is a buffet, and yes, there is a fair bit of seafood on it. However, I've asked, and things have been brought from the back, to avoid any chance of cross-contamination. There is also cheese, fruit and cured meat (like salami).
The actual meal is a served entrée, so the chef will be sure that her meal is safe. There are a few different kids meals, including pizza, pasta and meatballs, so she can choose what she feels like. You can see all of the meal details on the Disney site.
