From February 12 to 27, Walt Disney World Resort guests will be able to make reservations for either lunch or dinner that same day. Reservations are easy to make, just visit jungleskippercanteen.com or call 407-993-1933.
It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I realized that Skipper's wasn't included in the normal ADR reservation system, and then today I read this. I was stunned that you had to do Skipper's walk-up only, and then this blog announcement just seems bizarre to me. Why on Earth would Disney want to make this one solitary restaurant be impossible to get as a "for sure" reservation is beyond me. If you want to eat Skipper's you have to decide to wait it out no matter how long the wait may be, and you can't make a backup ADR since same-day cancellation would cost you $10 per head in cancellation fees.
What is Disney thinking here?

I have read that this place was no so good anyway. I was so hyped up to eat there but backed out the day of after reading terrible reviews. Hopefully it will get better soon so I can try it .... I love the Jungle Cruise, so the theming would be a perfect atmosphere for me ....
