Sad day if true. I'd heard rumors but just read an online article from DisneyDining (private site) that Starring Rolls is closing its doors.

Always thought, hands down, both a hidden gem and the best counter service at DHS. Not too many places in any of the four parks that are comparable. Wonder why the closing? Since its attached to HBD, I wouldn't think there is a lot they can do with the location. Expand the HBD maybe? Or some other kind of food service?

Had breakfast here not too long ago. Sorry to hear it will be going away.

This was hands down the best CS location in DHS. The Butterfinger cupcake was so good!

Hollywood Studios is shrinking very quickly. Backlot Tour, Streets of America & LMA all gone and now one of the best small counter service cafes on property has gone.

Some people say that AK is a half day park. DHS is now a quarter day park Sad

The WDW website doesn't state that Starring Rolls has closed permanently. It only states "no opening times available"

Ok, so no Turkey legs, now our tradition of starting rolls for breakfast gone too? What's going to be left? A man at the gates, demanding your money, then turning you away? Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

Dining Cast have reported that Staring Rolls at Disney's Hollywood Studios ceased regular operation effective today, February 5, 2017.

Cast have reportedly been reassigned to other Dining Locations around the park; however, the reason for the closure nor its permanence have reportedly been announced.

Additionally, operational hours for the location have been removed from the Official Walt Disney World site.

Several of Staring Roll's popular treats can be found at the adjacent The Trolley Car Café, including:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake ($4.99)
Fruit Tart ($4.79)
Napoleon ($4.19)

It does not appear to be closing for a refurbishment at this time; however, it is not yet clear if it is a permanent closure or if the location has moved to "seasonal" operation.

I'm really going to miss this place. This mine and my husband's go to place for breakfast at HS. We would ride Rockin Roller Coaster and then head here for a bagel and cream cheese or a pastry.

Is it possible that this is only a temporary closure, because of the current smaller crowds? If so I would think it would open back up when Starwars land, or Toystory land opens.

Looks like I was totally wrong. I read somewhere else that it is closing because, they want to expand the Brown Derby Lounge. Especially where other shops nearby have similar offerings.

I emailed WDW about this closure, and surprisingly got a quick response. I was told a member of management would be following up, so if I hear anything, I will forward the info.

This is a bummer. We always had cinnamon rolls for breakfast there on the days we went to Hollywood Studios.
