Disney's Hollywood Studios has announced the first Character Meet & Greets available in the new land:

New location inside Toy Story Land.
The current Pixar Place location (and all of Pixar Place) is expected to be closed to Guests after Toy Story Land opens.

They actually bothered to make that an announcement? Hey everyone! You can meet the same people you've been meeting for years, in the same generalish area! Next thing you know, the will announce that Green Army Men will be walking around the new area too!
It would have been nice to expand the character rotation in the new area.

I would LOVE a Ham meet and greet. Not sure how they would do it, and he couldn't sign autographs... maybe I just want an animatronic to take my picture with! :funny:

My guess is they bothered to make the announcement as part of the overall marketing campaign for the new land.Relatively speaking the percentage of Disney guest that go to the parks a lot and read fan pages like intercot is pretty small. So a large portion, if not the majority of guest that are planning a trip in the next year or so likely have no idea that you could already meet Buzz and Woody.

I am sure they could figure something out. For example King Louie from the Jungle Book, will not sign autographs "He only signs royal documents"
