How about the August 29th sailing on the Fantasy! ;)

I agree it is tough to pick a date that would be good for all. We did find though that the sailings before the Labour day week to be cheaper than the usual summer fares.

A 7 night would be fine with me, and the Fantasy is my fav of the 2 new ships.

Was thinking more of a 4 night though since they are usually cheaper.

Anyone else want to pipe in?

When do your kids normally get out and go back to school? I know we are early for each here in NE PA, and NY goes much later.

Well, we are moving back to California. They will be starting on August 26 and finishing on June 9 for the 2015-16 school year. I assume the following year will be similar.

Even here where we currently are (VA), they moved the start date up quite a bit. We used to start the week after labor day, but next year they are starting Aug 31. I don't think many districts start after labor day anymore, or they are at least moving towards late August start dates in most places.

Which is a shame, since those last week in August sailings are usually pretty cheap.

Prices for the summer were so high, I didn't think anyone would be interested.

But then in the fall we run into kids and school.

I am afraid there wont be a good time that can satisfy everyone, so what to pick?

So True... lol

I know I wouldn't go for more than 3 or 4 days. I have found that Disney cruises are more expensive than other lines so I am not willing to pay summer prices either....I think the ocean is rougher in the summer too isn't it?

But you will just have to pick a date that you think more people can come. ICOT15 was held in Oct and we had a nice crowd....but I always cruise in Oct so I am partial to it. :D......When it comes down to it I don't even know at this point if I would be able to go....the time of the year, the cost, and where my son ends up at college is going to be a big part of it.

I think whatever you decide will be fine!

If it ends up being a cruise during the school year, we will just leave the kids at home if we end up going. ;)

Schedule it when it's the best time for EVERYONE, and for most that will be during the off peak season.

Looked again at pricing. Priced out for 2 adults only, looking at cheapest category available.

For June/July 3 night sailings are running a bit over $2100 for a 3 night Dream and closer to $3000 for 4 night

September a 3 night is starting at ~$1200 and a 4 night ~$1575

October a 3 night is starting at ~$1300 and a 4 night ~$1700

November a 3 night is starting at ~$1261 and a 4 night ~$1635

So in the fall we see significant savings.

Not sure when John has his Garner symposium, I know it is usually October.

Personally, would love to team this up with HHN at Uni!

No Gartner this year - headed to Adobe Max - but not sure next year. Typically both are in early October. If I am at Gartner - teaming this up would work well for me schedule wise Smile

When will you know about 2016 Gartner, John? I have no clue how far in advance other companies do these things since Disney gives us less than 2 months notice for our convention LOL
