I have read about the alcohol policy but I was just wondering if there is a policy about bringing a few bottles of water on board the ship with us. I know it's offered at the beverage stations but that's not always convenient sometimes a drink during the night is handy.

The water needs to be in its original packaging and stored in your carry-on luggage. If you decide not to carry bottles of water onboard, you can bring a refillable mug (I used a Tervis) and fill it up with filtered water at the beverage station on deck. If you do that, please dispense the water into a paper cup & pour it into your personal cup to prevent germs from spreading ; )

Another option is to visit the Gifts and Amenities page on the Disney Cruise Line website, and purchase a water package in advance that will be delivered to your stateroom. We bought the water package when we got off at Castaway Cay. It had 6 bottles of water (you could choose SmartWater or Evian) and came in a soft cooler already full of ice.
