IF I'm on vacation, I have to bring my cigars. Obviously longer smoking times are needed. I've read about the the smoking zones on board the ships.
Question:
Is there places to sit? Or is it like a standing room only situation?
I can't sit and enjoy a cigar (don't need a fancy chair or anything), then I'm never going.

On the Disney Dream the deck 13 smoking area had chairs for up to maybe 20 people, and on the other side of the wall where some lounge chairs that I never saw anyone in but assumed was part of the smoking area. Only the "left side" of deck 13 was smoking, the right side was not. At no point was it standing room only, chairs were probably running at 60% capacity anytime I was there. Smoking area conveniently located next to Currents Bar. ;)

Depending on your ship. The Fantasy: Smoking area deck 13- multiple seats at chat tables, probably fits about 40 people total, just beside Currents bar, and only on the Port side. ( 20 tables 4 seats ) ,
ALSO- a little area known as Meridian bar, towards the rear, also has seating far less seats but a little quieter and out of the way.
Smoking is also allowed on DECK 4 PORT SIDE between 6 pm and 6 am only
the DREAM should be the same.
I only could find ONE smoking area on the Magic, and it was tucked away in a very seclude are and was not pleasant at all, along a dead end walkway, tucked under some stairs, very windy and little to no cover from rain....BUT, during the 6pm-6am hours the entire PORT SIDE on deck 3? was a smoking area.

On Fantasy and Dream my husband loves to sit outside Meridian after dinner with a cognac and cigar. Nice area with padded seating
