I just got back from a class reunion in SoCal, has been over a decade since my
last visit to DLR.
I will try to do a trip report soon, but wanted to mention this right away.
In CA, I took my sister to go see Turtle Talk as she had never seen it before. There was a sign that they were doing beta testing of a new concept to add on characters to the experience. Last week, shows on the half hour were the normal TT but on the hour you got to see the beta test.
We only sat through one beta, but it is still very rough. The animations are crude in comparison to Crush. The voice talent was probably an imaginer lol - as it didn't really sound like a character. What we saw added was a new whale - a Gray Whale that kind of reminded me of Cheech. There was a halibut and also saw some new items that I had not seen before - like a water bottle - Crush was confused about why you would put water in a bottle. that was pretty funny.
I could see where this could be molded into something that would add on to the experience, however, it has a ways to go. But hey... its Beta right?

Am I a huge disney fan? YOU BETCHA! I blame it all on my parents! They are the one's that walked around Disneyland all day to induce labor! Yep, I've been going to Disneyland since the day before I was born!
Thank you for sharing that. I walked through the lobby of the Animation Building on Monday on my way out of Off The Page but didn't stop to visit any of the interactions. I like hearing that there could be an update to Turtle Talk. While the show is fun, there is only so much of Crush I can handle so it sounds like a breath of fresh air to feature some other characters.
