Hi all,

We have an evening entertainment dilemma and are looking for some advice. We are three adults who have never been to DLR before (normally frequent WDW). We only have one evening in DL because two of our three nights the Halloween party is happening at DL. We want to do Fantasmic and want to do the Paint the Night Parade. There's a 9 and a 10:45 Fantasmic and the parade is at 10:45 so we were thinking of heading to the early Fantasmic. (We have to decide in advance because we need to pick a Fantasmic showing time along with our Fantasmic On-The-Go dining package.) But we noticed there is a fireworks show called Disneyland Forever at 9:30. Is that something we shouldn't miss? I guess we are just looking to prioritize here. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Don't miss the Paint the Night parade. You can see the Disneyland Forever from It's a Small World and have a good view of all the fireworks show effects. The Disneyland entertainment guide has the Rivers of America as a viewing location for the fireworks. So if you go to the first Fantasmic show then just stay put. If you stay for the second Paint the Night parade at 10:45 you should be able to get a very good spot to watch it go by.

Trying to do all three may leave you frustrated. If Fantasmic! is important to you I'd agree that Fastpassing the first show and then watching the fireworks from the Rivers of America area or as you walk to the spot you hope to grab for a viewing of Paint the Night is your best bet. Be prepared for other guests to have the same idea. You won't see the entire fireworks presentation - Tinker Bell, projections on the castle, lasers, etc. - but you will be able to enjoy everything up in the sky. I usually try not to schedule two major nighttime shows in to one night, but considering your schedule I'd say try to squeeze in at least two. All three are worth seeing in my opinion.

The fireworks and Paint the Night are both better than Fantasmic, by a long shot.

Thanks! That's what we decided. We are going to enjoy the fire works and Paint the Night and just have to miss Fantasmic this time. I think it's the best choice. Thanks for the help!

Try really hard to watch the fireworks from about halfway up Main Street. It is the BEST place to see them from.

Howdy -- i you've never seen FANTASMIC! like it's supposed to be seen -- on the Rivers of America you should consider it -- it's really amazing at Disneyland! Paint the night is awesome - and the fireworks are great (be sure and stand on Main Street!) -- but I will always love Fantasmic!
