If you’re visiting Disneyland park this February, you might want to try one of two new dining experiences.
River Belle Terrace will become a table-service location, serving lunch and dinner beginning February 10, 2016. On the menu, look for Southern barbecue staples like ribs, chicken and sustainable seafood alongside enticing starters and sides. Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten dessert—new signature desserts will be available as well. Reservations for River Belle Terrace will be available soon, so stay tuned for more details.
Over in Frontierland, Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante will begin serving breakfast on February 2, 2016. Look for a few favorites from the old River Belle Terrace menu, like the famous Mickey Mouse pancakes, as well as new favorites like Mexican-inspired breakfast entrees. Breakfast will be available until 11:30 a.m. every morning, before switching to the lunch and dinner menu at noon.

This change has been met with quite a bit of protest. Eating breakfast at the River Belle Terrace has become a tradition with so many returning Disneyland guests that this will take some getting used to. I was absolutely one of those that had the gut reaction of "Now what are they changing?!"
But after a few days to take it in, I realize that if they are changing River Belle Terrace to a sit down restaurant (and quite frankly I haven't been too impressed with the counter service offerings at lunch & dinner over the past few years) it makes sense from a service stand point to have the counter service breakfast served at Rancho del Zocalo where the noon and evening meals are also counter service.
It's just a shame that all of those tables viewing the Rivers of America (and yes I know the river will be boarded up for a good long time) and the walkways between Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, and Adventureland will sit empty in the mornings.

I am okay with them making it TS. There are not enough TS in the park right now. I am also fine with them moving breakfast to Rancho Del Zocalo. We never eat breakfast in the park anyway, so this won't change anything for us. I am interested to see what the menu will look like. I am going to assume that they will bring some of the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ items over since that meal has been SO popular and this article mentions barbecue food.
