BWV - Grand Villa

I think that at 7 months you will be out of luck. You are planning on going during a very popular time. Even getting seating at the Rose and Crown might be hard. As I mentioned previously, the occupancy rate at the BWV was at 95% last summer.

Wait listing might be in your future.

We stayed in one about three years ago - during President's Week of February. We had the "best room" (CM's quote), on the top floor where you're facing the Boardwalk, but one bedroom is on the corner of the BW Square (grassy area between Screen Door and Flying Fish). The place was large & spacious. Living room area was great. Worth it? Yeah, I'd say so, but I wouldn't use all my points every year (or 2 with borrowing) on it... Nice to do, but we knew it wouldn't be a frequent thing.

We did have to book one of our nights at 7 month window - as we have points at 3 different reorts. It wasn't a problem getting one night, but I can't speak about an entire week.

Thanks for the responses. My fall back plan is to book the 2 BR if the grand villa isn't available - then wait list it. I never have problems getting a 2 BR at the BWV seven months out before - and hope to keep my streak alive!!!

Was able to get all nights of our our trip at the Boardwalk Grand Villa - with the exception of July 5. So we booked 2 studios for that night & have waitlisted for it.

The worse that could happen is one night in those studios - then back the Grand Villa for two nights - it will be like they're doing maintenance on our villa for a night......

The only annoying thing will be what to do with the food - but hopefully, the waitlist will come through & we won't have that problem.

Looking forward to it - even though its going to be really, really crowded!!!

Good luck on the waitlist. Would you be better off with a 2Bbrm for the one night so you'd have a place for the food?

Yes, but there were no 2 BR available. They had suggested a 1BR & a studio - but I didn't want to waste points on a 1 BR for just sleeping. But maybe I'll waitlist for a 2 BR too - couldn't hurt - and I can have up to two......

I wonder if it could be the letter we just got stating that it might be noisy there because they are actually refurbing the Boardwalk - Flying Fish & Seaside Sweets will be closed, along with the ESPN game room - but we are OK with that
