For a whole MONTH I have gotten online at 8:00am to try to book HHI at the 7mo window. I am finding that It is easier to book Cinderella Castle breakfast!
I don't mind losing to faster fingers, but 3/4 of the time (including this morning) it's the DVC site! It just craters at 8:00! I got so far as the 20 minute booking session and when I hit submit it went to the "error" page.
I will be calling guest services today at 9. This is ridiculous!! A month!!!! Grrrr!!
I'll be staying with my lovely Vero. Now I'm so angry I don't care if I ever see HHI!

Sorry you're having such problems. When I was trying to get VGC last year I was told the error probably occurred because someone else ended their transaction while I was still booking. One hint they gave me was to book it for one person and then call them and they will add the other people in your party.

I'm guessing you are trying for June/July/Aug. That is prime vacation time at Hilton Head and it is a small resort. More than likely most of those dates are taken by HHI members. The population of Hilton Head is about 30,000 residents and the numbers swell to 100,000 during those months. We have found Oct/Nov and March/April to be our favorite times to go and the it takes fewer points to boot.
