thinking of possibly renting points in the future. Either at AKL or WL. throwing around the idea in my head. Thinking thats really the only way to stay at either place on my budget. How much is each point and how many points would i need to rent? Possible 5-7 night stay.
I was just talking to friends about this, they wanted to rent points from us but we have used all of our points up for the year already. So they are looking at other sources to rent points. From what I have seen it will cost you any where from $20 to $25 per point. Points needed vary based on time of year, what day of the week, resort, room type and views. The points vary just like the room costs direct from Disney vary.
At the end of February 2025, we are doing a split stay, 4 nights at the Boardwalk, there are four of us, in a two bedroom then moving to the Riviera, there are only two of us, for 5 nights in a preferred deluxe studio.
For the Boardwalk in a Garden or Pool view 2 bedroom suite, 4 nights, no weekend, it is costing us 208 points. So, it would cost anywhere from $4160 to $5200 based on the prices above.
For the Riviera in a preferred deluxe studio, we are staying for 5 nights, over a weekend, it is costing us 138 points. So, it would cost anywhere from $2760 to $3450 based on the prices above.
Sorry I didn't use the resorts you were asking about but I wanted to give you numbers for actual stays.

Instead of renting points, you can also rent/buy someone's reservation that is up for sale. You can get a good deal sometimes when the points would otherwise expire and they have to use them by a certain date. They make a reservation and try and sell that. There is a website I always look at for points for sale/rent and reservations and DVC contracts for sale. I am not sure if I am able to name the site, but they use to be a sponsor on here years ago and used them to buy our first contract at the Boardwalk Villas.

In a world where you can be anything.....Be kind!
It would be 2 of us on the trip so we wouldn't need a 1 bedroom. probably a studio/regular room. Probably a November trip this yr or next.
