I'm going to Hong Kong in September for a flying visit with my sister. She has one day of business meetings so I thought I would see how practical it was to try and visit Hong Kong Disneyland that day. anyone been and got any tips on how to get there, how to pay for stuff, what to see etc etc? :mickey:

I've been Mikki, but it's now been 6 years ago. Wow. Anyway, are your sister's meetings in the business district/Kowloon? There is a very convenient train system to get to Lantau Island where HKDL is located. You should be able to navigate easily.
We stayed at one of the two onsite hotels, and I remember getting HK Dollars at the front desk.
The park itself is lovely (beautiful backdrop of the mountains). You'll find a day is plenty of time to hit the highlights. The Toy Story expansion is new since we went.
Don't miss It's A Small World. They built it with the inclusion of the characters, and it's so well done. Space Mt. is like the one in California - awesome! They have Mickey's Philharmagic and quite a different Jungle Cruise. Don't miss!
Thanks!

Mikki, I did some searching and one of our Members wrote a report from his trip there in 2013 http://intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=199062

I've lost count how may times I've been there, I love that park. :mickey: I went twice last year. Everything was up and running except for the train, it is temporarily closed while they build the Iron Man attraction.
You have to go on Mystic Manor. That is one of my favorite Disney rides. I wish they would bring it state-side, but it won't happen. Big Grizzly Mountain is super fun, it's like a cross between Big Thunder Mountain & Expedition Everest. HKDL's version of the Jungle River is neat too.
I rarely use cash in HKDL except at some of the food stands. They take international credit cards and they will ask you if you want to be charged in HKD or USD.
If you have the opportunity to go to this park I say take it! It's lovely and a lot of fun!
