Hi guys! I stumbled across a Disney lanyard I'd received back in the day during a Magical Moment at AK, in line for the Safari. It's silvery-gray and contains a bunch of pins all touting The Year of a Million Dreams.
I was pretty stoked to find it. And NOW I'm trying to remember which trip I was on when I got it. I know for certain it happened between the years of 1997-2000. No sooner, no later. But when I google "The Year of a Million Dreams", the only things that result are 2006 and 2007.
Anyone experience the same magic and/or know of the date? Also, should I NOT trade the pins that came w/ the lanyard? Keep them forever?

Haha, I have to laugh at myself. I figured it out. It was from my 2007 trip.
(I am TOTALLY confusing myself. We had a different moment of magic at AK in the late 90s at the Safari. BUT, the lanyard gift was also there.)
...I've been to Disney too many times. UGH. ;)
That being figured out, I'll keep this discussion open to get tips on if I should save those pins and not trade?

I was reading your first post and was going to say it was in 2007. I am positive because we were surprised with a magical moment at the end of the ride at Tower of Terror that year and got the same lanyards and pins. I can remember the year because we had a larger group that particular year and stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs and that trip cost me an arm and a leg.
We are keeping ours because it was a special memory. I'm not sure but if I recall correctly, they didn't sell those pins and you could only get them by being surprised with a magical moment.
We got the same lanyards with pins, and I'm pretty sure we got ours in Dec 2007. That was our last trip that included my parents before we joined DVC.
We kept 2 of the pins and let the kids trade the rest. We received a total of 8 lanyards, so we had a lot of pins!
