Do you think it's fair to save chairs and tables by the pool with towels, bags, shoes early in the morning when there is a sign by the pool that states not to do it?  If you are sitting there it's fine to save for family members but to leave them there and not stay or return most of the day.

Idk

Absolutely NOT. If you are not going to be sitting there - whether or not you are going to be there later in the day - is, at best, rude. If there is a sign stating that you should not, HEED IT! If there is no sign, think about how you would feel if you came to sit and couldn't because someone had placed their things on the seats and were not around.

There is something called 'Common Courtesy' that should be taught to all.

It really isn't fair to stake out a group of chairs early in the morning, head off to the parks, and then return in the afternoon to "claim" your space while others who have spent the day at the pool are left with undesirable or no spots for relaxing in between going into and out of the pool.  I've watched others head to the pools first thing in the morning to lay out various items on multiple chairs before they leave never to be seen again during the time I've been at the pool.  Please be considerate.

That is completely unacceptable. I have been known to pick towels up, throw them over on other chairs and have a seat. Towels don't reserve chairs in my world and I don't worry about it too much. Don't be afraid to toss a towel off of an unused chair.

I had a little situation arise because of this back when the kids were young. It was at a nice condo resort at the beach not at a Disney World resort. Same situation with signs at the building exits to the pool area and more signs on the fence around the pool stating that towels do not reserve pool chairs and reserving them was not allowed. It also stated if no one is physically sitting in a chair, it is available for someone to use. So every morning, you see them come down looking like they just crawled out of bed (mostly women but a few men) and they would start draping towels over chairs. Then they would head back up to their condo to take a shower and sip coffee or whatever. By 8:00AM there would be towels on ever chair and the kicker is the pool did not officially open until 9:00AM. The guy was usually cleaning the pool sometime between about 7:00AM and 9:00AM and testing the PH. The people reserving the chairs typically did not come down to use them until after lunch (around 1:00 to 2:00 the pool would get busy).

One morning the kids wanted to go swim early before we headed out to site see. We had tickets for something that were for 10:45 I believe so we had a little time to kill. We went down and the kids got in the pool. I am kind of just looking around checking the area out and when I turn around to face the resort, I realize there are people on a lot and I mean a lot of the balconies watching me. Eyeballs everywhere it felt like. I realized immediately that many were the lookouts watching to make sure nobody tried to take the chairs they had "reserved." So I walked around a little and decided I wasn't going to stand the entire time so I would just flip a towel back some and sit on the end of the lounge chair while the kids swam. Well sure enough, it wasn't but a few minutes some guy shows up and says "Those are OUR chairs. We put our towels on them a little bit ago." I said back, we aren't going to be down here long. The kids wanted to swim real quick and then we leaving to go somewhere. He came back with "Those are our chairs so you can't sit here you need to move." I pointed to a sign and said there are signs everywhere that state reserving chairs with towels is not allowed and as I said, we aren't going be down here long.....maybe 20 or 30 minutes. He got a little loud and popped off with "You need to move." I got loud and told him again you aren't allowed to reserve chairs but if you want to fight over a stupid pool chair that I am going to be gone from long before they use them we can do that. Then someone from the condo staff walked up and diffused the situation and told him you can't reserve chairs and I can sit there for a bit. He marched off and went back to his condo. I was there maybe another 20 minutes and then we went on about our day and I never saw him again.

I told that long winded story just to point out how inconsiderate and self centered some people can be at times. This guy was probably willing to fight me over a few pool chairs that I was only going to use one of for maybe 30 to 45 minutes and be long gone before they actually came down to use them. I emailed the company that owned the condos the next week and explained the situation. I told them the signs are not enough, they really need to have signs that say towels left on chairs more than 15 minutes unattended will be removed by staff and have one of the staff that works the pool area go around maybe once an hour and remove them all if they are left unattended.
