It was posted on another WDW news site that Disney plans on replacing Country Bear Jamboree. While I think that they should be very hesitant about replacing classics/originals, especially where Walt was involved, could there be a solution that makes everyone happy? I think there could.
What if, instead of an outright replace of a "smaller" attraction, they relocated it? Imagine the resorts incorporating attractions that fit their theme. In this case, if they were open to relocating CBJ, why not move it to a spot in the Wilderness Lodge? They could overhaul Whispering Canyon and make it a part of the experience. Not that there is a rumor involving the Tiki Room, but that could be moved - under the same circumstances - to the Poly. I think everyone gets the point.
I personally would rather see an attraction relocated - when possible - rather than retired. Does anyone else share this view, or are others more content to see them preserved as they are, and where they are currently?
I love your idea of moving these classics to resorts where they can be incorporated into the landscape, so to speak. The one thing I hope they don't do is replace CBJ with a Toy Story show especially since there is a whole Toy Story Land. I world rather see the area made into extra seating for the current adjoining restaurant.
I don't think Pecos Bills needs extra seating. In my opinion the reason to replacing CBJ is to help alleviate crowds. CBJ is never full, and a new fresh and modern attraction would help the lines elsewhere.

We haven't been to CBJ since our honeymoon 10 years ago. Our kids wouldn't sit through it now. I'm not terribly broken up about this potentially going. I saw a rumor it would be replaced with a toy story show similar to the old time show Woody was based on in the movies. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. Toy story is widely recognized by a broad range of ages and is becoming super popular again. It makes sense.
Its sad when things change but I'd rather see an attraction that my kids, and others, would want to see.

True that site is nothing but click bait now... But this rumor does have some legs to it... Whether CBJ is replaced by Toy Story or not, dunno...
