Here is the opening day announcement and a video interview with Chef Art Smith:
Disney Parks & Resorts wrote:
Chef Art Smith, a native of Jasper, Fla., (and former cast member in the Disney College Program), gives guests a taste of classic Florida fare. The interior takes the “Homecoming Florida” theme to beautiful heights with the cocktail bar and two large tables crafted from reclaimed Florida camphor and eucalyptus. There’s Florida cypress through the interior, creating a warm, airy look that brings the outdoors in. Even the zinc tabletops were made in the Sunshine State. Favorite artwork includes oversized murals inside and out by Tampa’s Matt Callahan, and a photo of local farmer Hank Scott and his dad at their Long & Scott Farms in nearby Zellwood.
After dinner, stroll through the beautiful new retails shops at Disney Springs. Reservations open July 21, and can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

You had me at pimento cheese hushpuppies.
Somewhere else to add to my list of places to eat in Sept/Oct. I'm running out of days!
I grew up with "pray leen". And that was the Oklahoma/Texas side of the family.

I'm so excited about getting to make reservations for our March trip. Pimento cheese hushpuppies withred jalapeno jelly too.
BTW - I say pray leen and pah cahn. Don't know where I picked those up. I'm a native Californian transplanted to Hawaii and then to West Virginia. I find myself still using "Valley talk", Hawaiian words/pidgin and recently have caught myself saying not only y'all but all y'all too.
