I do not see this posted but I've been offline for a week and may have missed something..

Today, without much fanfare, WDW opened the new queue for Peter Pan. Rich in detail and reminiscent of Mickey's Old Digs (we all miss) is a walk through the Darlings Home. Cute as can be. There are rumours of this being interactive but at this time it's not. I have a feeling the lines are only going to get longer.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

I saw a bunch of other pics as well, and it is really well done. As childless adults, we've never waited in the queue longer than 20 minutes; however, with our first little one on the way, I foresee a future in which we will probably be stuck waiting in this queue for a longer period of time, so I will certainly appreciate having some extra eye candy.

If you have FP will you see any of this? May have to get in line - looks like would be fun to see.

Yes, this is the standby queue. I will probably wait in line once to see it but after that I still wouldn't want to wait in the Peter Pan queue. Luckily it is not one of my kids favorites. Smile

Anything is better than the old queue - it was just a horrible wait!

The lines will still be frustrating (still a FP+ must for us), but at least it won't be quite as miserable.

I think we may have to try and see this when we stop by for a one day visit in three weeks!

This is really cute! We don't wait in standby often, but maybe we'll try and get there early one day to check it out!

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has confirmed that interactive elements will open "soon" in the new queue area:

The Official Disney Parks Blog wrote:

Guests will soon be able to watch Tinker Bell fly around and interact with Wendy, John and Michael’s toys. They’ll also see their own shadows come alive on the wall in the children’s nursery and get a sprinkle of pixie dust before they head off into Never Land with Peter Pan.

Can't wait to check out the interactive parts. I did get to see the new queue in December and it is very nice. Normally we FP but it is worth standing in line to see. Love the Disney magic while standing in line. Winnie the Pooh and Little Mermaid are fun too

Standby doesn't guarantee that you see any of the new queue. We are just back and did PP right away one morning when standby was still at 5 or 10 minutes, they didn't have the queue set up yet to go thru the new areas. We could see down one hall that had art on the walls, and we did experience the new "spreading of pixie dust" but we missed all the new stuff. Kind of a good news bad news situation. Good news, you see it, bad news, you had 90 minutes to really look it over.

Sorry, I refuse to wait in any line that long.
