Today, Walt Disney World announced changes in the procedure for boarding Tron Lightcycle / Run.  From the Disney website:

A virtual queue is in place for TRON Lightcycle / Run through September 08, 2024. Beginning September 09, 2024, a standby queue will be available. Until then, Guests will need to use the My Disney Experience app to enter this attraction. Each Guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours. Learn more about the virtual queue for this attraction.

Guests may also purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction. Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases are limited in availability, are subject to change or closure, may vary by date and are not guaranteed.

I'm curious what the wait times will be once the virtual queue is gone. I guess we will see! It's time to get rid of the virtual queue on Guardians of the Galaxy too...just saying...

@jennsky It would be nice to compare the queue for virtual/lightning lane a day or two before it goes off virtual queue to standby/lightning lane a day or two after. Maybe Ian or someone else in the vicinity could check it out.

Was watching yesterday, at rope drop, 105 minutes. After than, hovered around 30 to 60. Now, remove VQ from Guardians. And I am starting to think Tiana's no longer needs it either. I rode Tiana's Friday, no VQ or LL line at all. Queue was empty and this was middle of the afternoon.

That would be great if they did this for the other 2 as well.

Wait....the lineup was only 30-60 minutes?!?! That's nothing! I feel like Space Mountain is comparable to that. I would think a spanking brand new ride would have a longer lineup than that. Well sweet! That's great for my trip then!

Monday September 16, one week later, as of 3:30PM, Tron stand by is listed as 80 minute wait. I also understand parks are a little busier than last week. Still, I think stand by is the right call for ALL attractions at this point.
