MDE updated today with at least a couple of new features.
1) You can now view your WDW resort folio - with all the charges made to your room. Much better than going to the front desk and getting a printout. (This feature doesn't show up until you actually check in - either in person or via online check-in.)
2) You can now track your dining plan credits on the App
as well. I don't know if it'll show details of who used what where, or if it'll just show the remaining balance.

It just shows how many you've used, and how many you have remaining, but not who used them, or where they were used. (that must be an "upgrade" to the app!)
I love it though ... so much better than having to check with the front desk for your spending update.
An interesting fact, I could access the room information (so the charges and dining plan) until I had actually gone to my room. We'd done online check-in, checked in at the front desk (to get our magic bands), and since our room wasn't ready, headed off to the park. When I tried to access the "room information" section, there was an error that it wasn't available. Once I actually entered my room, I could access that part of the app.

Did they update the maps also or am I just now noticing they look more defined?

I think they did update the maps as well. They do look different.

The app is getting better and better... Great addition.. Bad: people are being forced to keep their eyes on their phones and heads down and are no longer taking in the beautiful theme around the parks... Then again, in today's society, more people have become slaves to their phones and can't go a minute without posting or reading some incredibly stupid status post....
