Can you believe 2025 is almost here? Time truly flies when you’re having fun – or dreaming about your next Disney trip! And, *Mickey Mouse voice* oh boy! is there a lot to look forward to in 2025 at The Most Magical Place On Earth. With so many stage shows, attractions and a new nighttime parade to choose from, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

I can’t wait to share all the incredible things coming to Walt Disney World in 2025. Let’s dive in!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If, when you’re watching a Disney movie, you relate more to the Villains … maybe we should hang out. In fact, let’s hang out this summer at the ALL-NEW show, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.” Oh, hold on, we’re getting a message from someone in a mysterious, reflective realm.

Sounds like we are being summoned by the Magic Mirror himself, are you guys as excited as I am?

This delightfully wicked live show will keep you on your toes when the most fiendish of foes, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent, break through the glass to take center stage and captivate you with performances full of witty humor and mischievous charm. You may even get a glimpse of a few more of your favorites through the magical mirrors as dozens of the most infamous evildoers try to join in the delightfully diabolical fun.

Grab your dinglehoppers and get ready, because it’s time to shell-ebrate with “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.” This summer, we’ll all be part of Ariel’s world as the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic “The Little Mermaid” comes to life on stage! We’re talking all-new sets, a vibrant cast of puppets, live performers, and stunning visuals coming together to take us under the sea.

Remember the days when we’d pop in that favorite VHS tape and sing along to our favorite tunes? Fans of the movie can relive that nostalgic joy with plenty of nods to the brilliant animation style from the film. Even the youngest kiddos will sing along with beloved songs including “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World,” plus two new-to-this-theater musical numbers, “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.”

EPCOT

Spaceship Earth Lounge Rendering

Spaceship Earth Lounge

Paying tribute to the most beautiful EPCOT icon, our favorite geodesic sphere will be home to a whole new experience in late spring, welcoming an elevated lounge to the list of things that make it absolutely stunning! This elegant lounge, honoring the intertwined history of Spaceship Earth and EPCOT itself, is set to celebrate the legacy of the icon’s past while admiring its future.

Our chefs have created delicious culinary creations to complement the elegance of this extraordinary, intimate setting. While taking in breathtaking views of the park from an entirely new angle, you can be inspired by the stories and legacy of this iconic structure. With sweeping views of World Celebration Gardens and a unique perspective of the nightly fireworks, this secluded retreat invites you to raise a toast to the enduring spirit of EPCOT.

Test Track presented by General Motors Rendering

Get ready to feel the thrill of the open road, the wind in your hair, and nothing but adventure ahead! Test Track presented by General Motors is making its return lap late summer 2025. Walt Disney Imagineering has been working with General Motors on an all-new storyline – you’ll want to be all buckled in for an adventure. You might even see cars returning to the track (for testing…at Test Track…nice) with their new look early in the year!

“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”

It’s time for a new fabulous nighttime parade! “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is coming to light up your summer 2025! This new evening spectacle combines nostalgic Disney storytelling and glowing innovation, continuing the legacy of dazzling nighttime entertainment that holds a special place in the hearts of so many.

You’ll get the chance to see a bunch of your favorite characters in a whole new light … literally. Featuring fan-favorites from classic and new Walt Disney Animation Studios films like “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen,” “Moana,” and more, the parade’s vibrant lights will dance in the dark, transforming the night into a mesmerizing canvas of glowing colors.

The Blue Fairy from the classic tale, “Pinocchio,” will weave the transformative magic of starlight through each float and every costume in the parade, illuminating the stories in a vibrant constellation of wonder, hope and imagination.

Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired tavern rendering

Pirates of the Caribbean-Inspired Tavern

‘Tis time to prepare yerselves for the swashbucklin’ world of adventure as all bandits and buccaneers-to-be are invited to join me jolly crew at a new Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired tavern. Makin’ landfall in Adventureland in late 2025, this yonder lounge will welcome pirates of all ages with a sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub, and strike me colors, there may be more than a few mysterious and magical surprises in store!

Animal Kingdom Theme Park

“Zootopia: Better Zoogether!”

In addition to all this great news, I have another gift for you … “OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! TRY EVERYTHIIIIIING!” And now, you have Gazelle’s top hit from “Zootopia” stuck in your head.

But seriously, hold onto your hats (and your tails, feathers, or ears!) because I want to remind you about the all-new 4D production coming to the Tree of Life Theater in winter 2025 – “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” You’ll want to herd the whole family together to join Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and more for a new wild adventure that will make you want to clap your hands.

Last Chance for DINOSAUR

While you’re visiting, make sure you “go get that dino” at DINOSAUR. We’ve previously shared this attraction will be closing to make way for the new Tropical Americas land – 2025 is your year to visit before it goes extinct!

POV: The [insert theme park Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Magic Kingdom … you choose!] is closing for the night. Everyone is making their way to the park exit … except for you and your friends, because you’ve got tickets to Disney After Hours! That’s right – your favorite after-dark event is back in 2025! With delicious snacks like ice cream, popcorn and select bottled refreshments included with your ticket, this after-hours event is the cherry on top of your Walt Disney World vacay!

Stay and Play

Planning your next Disney adventure just got even more magical! Walt Disney World is always providing a wide variety of ticket, dining and hotel options, and promotional offers during the year to help families save on their vacations – including recently released offers on tickets and room stays in 2025. Plus, in 2025, when you check into one of our Disney Resorts Collection hotels, your vacation starts with a splash – literally! Enjoy admission to a Disney Water Park on your arrival day, included in your stay.

Also, every morning, you’ll get exclusive early access to the parks, giving you a head start on all the magic, from checking your favorite attractions off the to-do list, to getting that perfect castle photo. My favorite part about staying at any of our resorts is the second you step on property you are entering into a world of legendary storytelling, enchanting details, and unmatched convenience. With so many options to choose from, including over 25 Disney Resort hotels, and perks like onsite transportation and fun resort activities, there’s no better way to immerse yourself in the magic!

Recurring Fun

Amid all the excitement for new offerings in 2025, I can’t forget to mention beloved Walt Disney World fan-favorite festivals and separately ticketed events! From the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and everything in between, there are more than 200 days of themed, seasonal and limited-time magic on the horizon.

Shouldn't there be 57 comments on this post by now about how all change is bad and we think it's a huge mistake that they're closing [insert name of iconic but very tired attraction here] to do some new thing? LOL

Let me be the first to make the controversial statements that (a) I'm seriously not gonna miss Dinosaur, and (b) I'm also not gonna miss "It's Tough to Be a Bug" (which I assume is what the Zootopia attraction is replacing). Both of those are from the "let's rough up the guests, poke them, spray water in their faces and generally see how much abuse they can tolerate" era, and I am pleased as sucker-punch to see the end of all of it.

I can take or leave villain stuff, but good on Disney for playing with stories and characters in creative ways. Sounds fun!

SOOOOOO excited about a new nighttime parade. I'm still pining for SpectroMagic....

Overall, I'm excited. As much as I miss the things we've all come to know and love about Disney, it is fun to get new, and things do need updating and refreshing.

However, everything at Disney take SO LONG to actually get done so I wonder how long things will really be closed before the updates/replacements are really open? I mean, Universal builds entire new lands in less time than Disney updates an attraction.

I guess that is a question too ... with so much land, why is Disney replacing instead of expanding?

More importantly, expect even higher prices in 2025!

I'm actually excited about the new night time parade.

I won't miss Dinosaur at all. I rode it once way back when it was new and hated it. Never really planned on riding it again but we were there on a group trip probably 7 or 8 years ago and some had never ridden it so we all got on. I still hated it. I am not much of a fan of the Indiana Jones version at Disneyland either but it isn't quite a bad.

Now for It's Tough to Be a Bug, I enjoyed that show. It has been there a long time and kind of ran it's course though so it probably is time for a makeover. However, from what I have read, it is pretty much going to be a retheme to zootopia. It is still going to be a 4D attraction so it is still going to have most if not all of the elements that It's Tough to Be a Bug has. I am looking forward to seeing the new version.

I am really looking forward to watching the nighttime parade.  It will also be good for those who are not watching it and want to get into an attraction with a slightly shorter line.
