It's been almost one year since La Nouba closed. I can't believe Disney has let that money-making opportunity sit completely closed for this long.
I heard rumors there would be a new Cirque du Soleil featuring only Disney songs. I also heard there would be a new Disney show that has nothing to do with Cirque du Soleil.
Does anyone have reliable information about what will finally open there and when?
Disney did announce another Cirque show, but no real details or dates.
I'm afraid Disney is pushing for another "remember this movie" show just like every other show has become and Cirque probably doesn't like that idea as they are all about originality.
I believe it will still be Cirque, but Disney themed/based... Centered around it's hit movies/songs...

Cirque du Soleil has started casting for parts in the new show.
The casting has so far revealed that a lead character of the new show will be adolescent girl character with the following characteristics:

Height between 4’0” (1m22) and 5’0” (1m53)
Slim figure
Sensitive on the inside, yet fearless on the outside.
Based on the time table of the casting commitment, it appears the new show should debut between Late 2019 and Spring 2020.
