DVCNews is reporting that WL pool entry requires swiping your MB for entry. You will also get a paper band similar to BC. The added stress on the pool has caused issues for the property. They will still allow DVC pool hopping based on space.
IMO when they gated Silver Creek they lost a bit of chair space, it seemed very crowded and people were coming over to the villa pool because of it. I can't even imagine adding the VWL guests to the mix.

Yes it is, reportedly this started with the construction in October.

When we stayed at WL it was during the winter and the hot tub at Silver Creek was packed all the time. We noticed nobody using the DVC pool or hot tub and spent all our time over there. It was so quiet. Hopefully they will still allow that swap.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

We stayed there in September & the pool was gated but it was just a latch, you did not need your MB. We spent quite a bit of tome there because it was so hot still. I thought that most of the deluxe resorts were going to guests only access however
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️
