Walt Disney World Resort is kicking off its “chilliest’’ celebration as Blizzard Beach Water Park celebrates its 30th anniversary in April with a variety of limited-time guest experiences and festive entertainment, which families won’t want to miss before they melt away.
On the water park’s 30th anniversary on April 1, there will be a live DJ spinning icy tunes, several meet & greet opportunities with popular Disney characters dressed in winter attire and special digital frozen-photo frames to highlight guests’ memories from that day. For the remainder of the Blizzard Beach season, which runs through the end of April, guests can experience anniversary-themed dance parties, games and temporary 30th anniversary tattoos, plus merchandise, food and beverages and “snow” much more.
At the culmination of the anniversary celebration, the water park fun switches over to the tropical oasis water park at Walt Disney World Resort, Typhoon Lagoon, which reopens May 1 featuring tropical-themed experiences created by a legendary typhoon that once struck the island, leaving behind a quirky collection of wrecked boats, a stranded fishing pier and a unique blend of fun and adventure.
And here’s a bonus: Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in 2025 can enjoy water park admission on their Resort check-in day, included with their stay.
