I'm still contemplating it. Registration for the general population (that would be me) opens tomorrow. I'm actually looking at the 10K, but have never done one before.
I love the 10K. It is a good challenging distance and you get to run through the Boardwalk. I say go for it! You have a lot of time to train. ;)

We will be staying on property that Thurs & Friday and walking the 5K. I'm not a runner, but I'm an avid walker and I love to walk 5Ks. Will be walking with a group from FamiLAB, a hackerspace/makerspace community based in Longwood, FL (about 15-20 min north of downtown Orlando).
Would be fun to see INTERCOT friends too!
