A few questions. Help!

  • I know the recommendation is to register one person at a time. But is it POSSIBLE to register two? If one doesn't get in neither of us will be going.
  • I plan to be on right at noon EST which is 10 a.m. my local time. Do I have minutes? We're planning on doing the half. But does the half sell out before the full and both before the Goofy?
  • If you register for the Goofy and no show for one are you still registered for the other? I know it's $ but then could run either (or by some miracle, both!)

Hi! For your first question, the system hasn't allowed for registering more than one at a time in the past. I suggest using two different devices to sign up each person.

For question two, they have gone to a queue system so be ready before noon ET. Last year, the goofy was the last to sell out. I don't think it ever did as runDisney broke up some of the slots to allow more for the individual races. I don't remember when the half sold out but you could look at old posts on the runDisney Facebook page. There is always someone complaining about the speed of selling out.

For your last question, the Goofy bib will get you into both races but if you don't complete both races, you won't get the Goofy medal.

Good luck!

I got "in line" at noon today and was on line by 12:21. I got DD1 and myself registered for the Half. I went to register at 12:35 for the 5K and it was already sold out. So was the 10K. Kind of blew me away. I didn't have trouble at all last year. As a matter of fact, it was two hours after registration opened when I did it last year.

Wow - I might have done it in reverse with the half last - but if that's the race you really wanted to be in, I could see why you'd go for that first.

These races are getting crazy popular. Hope to see you at the ICOT Meets!

Thanks all for the help here. Just saw the "main thread' on this now too. Didn't mean to create my own on the side.

Will definitely check out the #runICOT and #cheerICOT events.

Registered for the Goofy which is really insurance for being able to run either the half (I have done five now, one Sunday) or the full (I have never done). That said, I have read some blog posts now of people who did the Goofy for their first ever full.

I registered right at noon MST. I see there are still Goofy spots left, haha. Oh well. Took a few refreshes but got both registrations in.

See you there, folks. Now comes the harder part: running. Smile
