Friday's 5k forecast is for thunder storms. I know they won't cancel for rain. What about lightning? I will be using a metal walker.
Also, what are the best socks to wear?

They will postpone for lightning in the area. They will cancel if it doesn't appear the storms will pass quickly. It has happened before.

Right now I don't think rain is going to be a problem until later in the day on Friday. Timing is never 100% but you have a decent shot at getting a dry run in before the storms.
