It takes over 4 tons of food a day to feed the animals. That’s more than 2,000 pounds of vegetation is given to the animals daily. In addition, they have several varieties of worms provided to the animals! The vets also order 80,000 crickets per month as part of the healthy diet for the animals.

Thank you for the information on feeding the animals at AK. There is an animal nutrition center backstage where thousands of "meals" are prepared every day and delivered to the animals throughout the park. There is also a veterinary hospital. You can see into it through the windows in Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch.
