Today is Earth Day, and the 18th anniversary of the opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom.if you have skipped this beautiful park in the past, you should definitely plan to spend an entertaining day there on your next visit to Walt Disney World!

We just returned home from another terrific trip to WDW.
Animal Kingdom has been a favorite of mine since forever. We spent 2 days there this last trip. We usually go on safari early in the day, but, one afternoon we decided to go on safari later in the day and it was probably one of the best experiences we've ever had. Temps were nice, our guide was fantastic, and the animals were extremely active. One of the funniest experiences was being caught in a traffic jam. Three giraffes decided to slowly walk along the trail in front of our tour vehicle. Absolutely loved the experience.
I second Ron's comment. If you have never taken the time to explore Animal Kingdom, you should add it to your must-do list. You'll wonder what took you so long to appreciate this gem of a park.
