As I understand it, I can only have FPs for seven days at any one time. So If I stay eight days. I have to wait till the FP's for day one are expired before getting FPs for day eight. Does that apply if you have a reservation on property for more than seven days?

My understanding is that the 7 FP days in a rolling 30 day window is just for situations where the AP holder is not staying on property. If you're staying for 8 days you should be able to make 8 days of FP reservations with your AP.

(I could be completely wrong, I live nearby so I never stay on property, hopefully someone knows the answer for sure)

If you have a reservation at a Disney Resort, you'll be able to make FP+ reservations for the length of the entire reservation.
