Trying to do some planning for an upcoming trip and am confused about hours. How can Hollywood Studios close at 7:30 but have Fantasmic at 8 and also have dining reservations at 8:50? Does everything close at 7:30 but Fantasmic? Will we have to sit around and do nothing until the dining reservations?
Studios closing at 7:30 and Fantasmic being at 8 is a normal occurrence. It has the effect of helping to clear the park by concentrating everyone into one area. They've been doing it for a long time.
As for dinner reservations, my guess is that that night is EMH at Studios. In which case the park is open until 9:30 for resort guests. Some restaurants (not all) stay open during EMH.
OR
They have changed the hours internally and whatever you are looking at for park hours hasn't been updated. You didn't give the date so it's hard to confirm.
If they're talking reservations, the park is open in some capacity.
