I've tried this ride once, not impressed. Then, after reading such amazing reviews, I went back giving it a new, fresh chance. It still disappointed.

I actually do love it, I'm afraid of heights so I think the feeling of hang gliding adds to my excitement, plus the smells I don't know I just love it.

It's not boring, per se ... it's actually very beautiful and enjoyable ... but it is overrated in my opinion. The mad stampedes and crazy long lines are more a factor, I believe, of the lack of other quality attractions in Epcot vs. true E-Ticket appeal.

It's a family favorite for sure. Is the new Soarin' getting the Start Tours treatment? That's to say are their multiple scenes that can be interchanged in the experience? I don't think I've seen all of sequences in the new Star Tours so there's always hope for something new.

DVC owner at AKL, OKW & BRV. stayed at every WDW resort except GF & YC. also went to Aulani & Disneyland. top of bucket list Tokyo DL next year, maybe Paris and Hong Kong
I like it, but I wont wait 90 minutes in line for it.
I think of Soarin' as a "thrill" ride for people who are afraid of "thrill rides".
It's a little thrilling and fun, but not intimidating like a coaster or ToT

I've never gone on it in Florida because the lines there are insane. In CA, the wait can often be only 30 minutes, and I will still use a Fastpass. I've always loved the ride. Anytime I'm taking people for the first time I always request a front row middle section seat, so they get the best experience.

We enjoy it. I wouldn't say it's boring, it's kinda cool. If you're expecting a thrill ride though, you're definitely going to be disappointed. That's not what it's meant to be. I do agree that it's a bit overrated. We would never wait more than, say, 20 minutes to get on it. I think part of the hype on this ride is due to the lack of rides overall in Epcot.
