It just occurred to me with reading the Hyperspace Mountain posts...do you think Disney will defer other maintenance while investing their their billions in new development? It's always a bummer when your favorite ride is down for refurb, but better to be getting some TLC instead of falling into disrepair.

Not really. There is money earmarked for the expansions. That should not affect other areas of park operations.

Right. Park expansion has never impacted routine maintenance. Some of the maintenance is required but even that which is not they have to refurb those rides regularly or they'll become dangerous or fall into disrepair. So all of the upgrades will have no impact on the normal refurb schedule.
