Hi, hope everyone is staying safe.
We have rebooked our April/May 2020 trip for May 2021. We have booked through Virgin Atlantic so will need to wait for our tickets to be sent out before we start booking, though I had a couple of questions.
Are park reservations already open for the whole of the period they are planned for? ie: it is already able to make reservations for May 2021 and it isn't like the 30/60 day rule for Fastpasses?
I see that it isn't possible to park hop so only one reservation is allowed per day. Does this include water parks? Do waterparks need a reservation and if not can we go to one in the day time and then go elsewhere (such as Hollywood Studios) in the evening if we have reserved DHS for that day?
Thanks. :mickey:

I can only speak on the water parks as of right now. There has been no reopening date for them yet.
We made park reservations for our trip next February. We already had an on-property room reservation and active annual passes.

I'm a little frustrated. I tried to see if reservations are available, but I can't without a ticket. Then when I tried to look up a room and ticket package, it says to check to see if reservations are available before booking the room and tickets. They really aren't very helpful.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Give it up.

I did. I got into a chat with a cast member whose answer was even more confusing than the question I had, so I gave up.

Thanks, we have made our reservations today as our tickets for our offsite stay in May came through yesterday. Waterparks don't appear on the system at the moment so we just booked our main parks. A few changes from the initial itinerary as we had planned to park hop between MK/Epcot and DHS/Epcot for two of our days but it seems to work.
One water park day we're planning on going to Disney Springs in the evening, the other Animal Kingdom. We have booked the AK pass for that day for the time being and will see what the situation is by then. I suspect water parks will be one of the last things to open but hopefully are safe to do so before next May!
