My family is going to Disney world may of 2018. I have been told they are building a Toy story Land and a Star Wars land in the Orlando parks. Is this true and if so will they be opened by then?
They will not be open until 2019. It is true though. The expansions are fully on their way now.

Toy Story Land *might* be in soft openings in May 2018. It is supposed to open (rumored) Summer 2018.

I will say the sooner the better for them getting the Toy Story area opened. With over half that park closed to construction, they need that to open to start to get the guests something to do there. I still cannot believe they are charging full price for a park that is less than 1/2 open.

There's still plenty to do there. Most of the area that closed was minor. The main attractions are still open. We were there one night and everything but ToT and Rockin Rollercoaster was closed and we still had a blast.

Planning a trip in late August of 2018 I'm hoping Toy Story land will be open by then,
I can't wait for the new lands to open - Hollywood Studios really is just a half day park right now, and I just love it!
