What should I do with a day to myself?

I know my answer, because I did this at Disneyland the one time we went - husband and girls went to Six Flags for the day! (Side note - SOOOO glad I didn't go. They said it was basically a concrete jungle - although they liked the rides, there was no theming, no green space etc. And it was so hot that the soles of my daughter's cheap shoes melted right off, LOL!). Anyway I spent the early part of the day riding everything in Fantasyland, because with thrill seeking teens and hubby I had NEVER gotten to do any of that. I had ice cream and people watched. Then I went back for a solo swim and a nap, and afterwards walked to the other park, had a nice dinner, and watched the light show. (also something my crowd never wants to do ;-) Honestly, it was such an amazingly relaxing and pleasant day, I'd like to do it again some time! But at DisneyWorld, of course ;-)

For me, personally, I'd play a round or two of golf. But if that's not your thing...

Someone else mentioned a spa day. Absolutely. I had a pedicure done at the spa at the Swan, and my feet felt amazing for a few days after that. I'd do that again in a heartbeat.

I would also go shopping. Wander Disney Springs.

I could probably do Epcot alone. The other parks, I just wouldn't have as much fun without someone to share it with. But the World Showcase would be cool to just wander around in, and like John said, hang out after it's all closed and emptied to get some amazing photos.

A tour would also be super cool. Those are all great ideas.

Next up - January 2023 short trip! We just want to try that 50th Anniversary chocolate monstrosity at Mexico!

I like my shopping and gorging and Disney Springs. Love me some Tumi store.

If I had a day to myself, I would definitely spend it in one of the parks and just enjoy the atmosphere. I would enjoy my lunch or dinner, and not rush to make it to the next FP. I may ride a few rides, I may not. I would pick your favorite park and enjoy it. For me, it would be a toss up between MK and EP. I would probably lean towards EP since you can enjoy World Showcase at a slow pace.

Do you have a morning to yourself? If so, from the Yacht Club I'd go into Epcot through International Gateway, then go over to the French Bakery for breakfast. It's so peaceful there at that time. If you're not "into" the French Bakery for breakfast, go sit in front of Rose and Crown before 11:00 and watch the International CMs come in to work, the people rushing past to get to their favorite ride in FW, while you sit enjoying the music and watching Epcot WS awaken. My favorite time of day! By 2:00, I'm either back in my room, back sitting by the pool, or in Ale and Compass eating lunch, with a trip to Beaches and Cream for dessert.

I'd definitely take in the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot. Never been there durning this time, but I love the Food and Wine Festival so I know how pleasant a leisurely stroll around World Showcase can be. Other than that, I'd just spend the time alone to really notice everything that I tend to miss when splitting my attention between what's going on around me and the people I'm with.

Nice work, pal.
