Today was EE at Epcot but since we were out late last night we didn't get there until around 8:45. We didn't get any FP for Epcot this morning choosing to save them for the 3 Mountains at MK later this evening. Our first ride was MS where we did the less intense Green version. I don't feel much difference between the two. We headed across the park to the other side of FW where we rode JIYI and then waited to see the preview of Inside Out which looked like a funny movie. Will have to go see it sometime this summer.
Lunch ADR's were at Teppan Edo at 12:15 so we still had some time to stop at the Amer Adv for the show and as we were exiting the show the Voices of Liberty were sining outside at the American Gardens Theater. At this show they sing more Disney songs instead of the patriotic songs they sing inside.
Teppan Edo is another one of our favorites that we try to eat at each trip, we had filet mignon, chicken, shrimp and swordfish plus green tea chessescake for dessert and all were delicious. Once back outside the skies had clouded up and we headed towrds Canada to see the Lumberjacks show. The show is ok, some corney jokes as they have 2 teams that compete in Ax Throwing, Chainsaw Cutting and Log Rolling in the pool the built in front of the stage. It was starting to rain so they rushed through th get the whole show in. We headed in to wait for Oh Canada and could hear the thunder outside. When we came out of the movie this round of rain was over.
We were going to go back to the hotel and swim and pack but since the weather was threatening we decided to just stay in Epcot and then head to MK for the evening. So we back tracked across the WS to China to catch the Jeweled Dragon Acrobats and with the weather iffy the show was inside. Andrew took off to go shopping in China while the 3 of us found seats near the front since we were there early. Our last stop was to ride the Seams with Nemo and spend some time in the living seas. We heard that there was going to be a dolphin training show at 4pm so we stood around there waiting for 15 minutes for it to start. The would show the dplhins and object and then put up three pictures for them to pick out the object, they got most of them right on the first try.
As we left Epcot to catch the monorail the skies were again getting dark and by the time we arrived at MK it was raining but just a light steady rain which continued for the next 5 hours. We had dinner ADR's for the Plaza which is a nice place to dine if your looking for a place to sit down other than fast food and the prices are not much higher than you would pay for counter service. As were eating and talking I realized that our flight home was in 24 hours and that since we were flying Southwest we could get our boarding passes so since Janice did not want dessert she headed down to guest relations and was able to print out our boarding passes and be back just as we were finiishing up our desserts.
So as I mentioned earlier we saved our FP's for the Mountains and even though it was raining since there was no lightening the rides were all running. So we proceeded to ride Splash and Thunder in the rain which had us laughing the whole time. We headed over to Peter Pan to get into the standby line so we could see the new interactive que. The wait showed 45 minutes but it only took 25. The Disney imagineers are so creative, this has to be the most impressive que yet that they have designed. Next it was SM and then a few rides on Buzz.
While the Parade and FW were going on we visited the Country Bears and then another night time ride on the JC as the skipper had to keep making jokes abouth the noise from Wishes. As we headed back to Main Street via Liberty Square, the Celebrate the Magic Show was starting and we found that you have a great view of it standing near the Liberty Sq bridge. After the show we finished off our last night there by getting a funnel cake and an ice cream cookie sandwich from the Sleepy Hollow.
Cetainly a fund day to end your trip!! Glad the weather didn't interfere too much with your enjoyment!!
