It was a 6am wake-up call from Olaf to start our day on Monday, August 4. We got ready and headed to bus stop 4 at about 8am to catch the bus to Hollywood Studios. Justin wanted to ride the bus, though it would come back to haunt us.

We arrived at Hollywood Studios and got into line to get into the park. There's a non-melting Olaf outside the entrance to Hollywood Studios; he's sculpted out of sand.

When we got into the park, our first stop was Starring Roles for cinnamon roles for breakfast.

Our first stop after breakfast was the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow. It was the right time to do since later on there was a long line. It's a cool show that's worth seeing, though I wouldn't wait in a long line. Long lines were the story of our trip though. Normally we wouldn't go in summer but the academics of Justin's school don't really allow for any school to be missed Junior or Senior years so we were stuck with summer. With all the additional attractions on FastPass+ and the advance scheduling, it seems to have made the waits for all attractions fall in a similar range.

After Sharon & I took some pictures at the Frozen backdrop (Sven was added in digitally to some of the photos), we used our first FastPass+ on Star Tours. Justin & Mark wanted to wait in the standby line for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster while we waited for our next FastPass+. Mark checked the wait time and said it was 5 minutes. It was 50 when we got there; I don't know if he misread it or it wasn't updated (I'm leaning towards user error ;) ). We barely moved for a half hour and ended up getting out of line when they started making the it's going to be longer announcements. We found a place to sit to wait to ride Tower of Terror.

We rode Tower of Terror when our FastPass+ window opened up. Justin was a no-go right up until we went to get in line. I think we shamed him into it. Neither he nor Mark had ridden Tower of Terror before. Justin enjoyed it though he wouldn't admit it.

After riding Tower of Terror, we saw Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage for the first time. It's a nice show and it was good to sit for a while.

We were now able to use our FastPass+ for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. This was Justin's first time riding it. It was a great ride as always. Nothing like rocking to some Aerosmith while blasting along on a roller coaster!

Next we were off to lunch at Pizza Planet which was Justin's pick. While everyone else got in line, I went to pick up an additional FastPass+ since we had used our 3. I picked up FastPass+ for Fantasmic! at 9pm.

After lunch we waited in line for about an hour or so for Toy Story Midway Mania. Justin had the high score for the 4 of us, another first for him (the video gamer has always had the lowest score on our previous trips).

We went to the 4pm showing of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. The rolling rock wasn't working though it's the first time in several trips where the mechanic in the airplane scene dropped down through the trap door in the stage.

We rode Star Tours again and saw Muppet*Vision 3D.

We browsed some shops while we waited for our ADR time for Mama Melrose's. The only rain on our trip came as we were waiting to be seated at Mama Melrose's. We had an enjoyable dinner and it was great to see a Michigan State Rose Bowl pennant hanging inside.

After dinner, we wandered around and ended up riding Star Tours for a third time. We opted out of going to Fantasmic!. Sharon, Justin, & Mark didn't want to sit on wet seats, though Justin never wanted to see Fantasmic! in the first place.

We were at the bus stop for Coronado Springs at about 8:50pm. It was after 9:30pm when a bus finally showed up. It's really frustrating to see multiple buses come for other resorts.

When we got back to Coronado Springs, we turned in for the night. Tuesday was going to be another early day.

Wow- we've never had to wait 40 min for a bus! That is horrible! Did you go and talk to the coordinator? That is just awful!

Regardless of what resort we're staying at, our longest waits for buses seems to be when leaving Disney Studios. We stand there and watch buses for every other resort - sometimes multiple buses for particular resorts stream through while our particular resort bus doesn't show up!!

Long lines seems to be the nature of the beast these days. Since the reports of these long lines seems to coincide with the introduction of fastpass+, I can't help but believe that fastpass+ has not met its purported goal of enhancing guest experiences!!!

I think it's evening out all the waits. There were always some shorter wait rides before you could take advantage of.
