Even though PA doesn’t have the 14 day quarantine suggestion anymore, I have been sticking to it pretty well. It helps that I retired from my pharmacy job in April. The few places I have been are outside walking and pickups from grocery. Happy to report I am doing well.

Looks like travel, planes, WDW are getting a little crazy. Glad I was able to get my trip in before the surge of people. Not sure how it is everywhere but here in PA I am seeing a lot more people not wearing masks in groceries. The rate of COVID shots are not good here in PA. The only people I know that have gotten them are healthcare workers and one lady that is in her late 80’s. A lot of relatives and friends in Ohio and Indiana have seemed to be be able to get their shot. Not sure why PA is so slow.

If anyone is planning a trip soon stay healthy and stay safe. I booked a trip early December to stay at Pop again. Hope the fireworks are back and maybe even a MVMCP.

Glad you are taking it on yourself, and able, to maintain 'quarantine.' I am not a big 'people person' myself, so the alone time doesn't bother me one bit. LOL

Reading your trip reports, it looks like you were able to make the most of your trip. Thanks for keeping all of us 'in the loop.'

Yes, PA has been bad about the availablilty of vaccinations, but it is slowly getting better. York County just got a boost when the UPMC hospital here opened up vaccine registrations late last week. Since I had signed up on their website (as well as the other big hopsital here - WellSpan) to be on their 'waiting list,' I received notificaton right away and got my first shot two days later. All I can say is - Keep trying and sign up with any of the hospitals/healthcare providers in your area. Also, check with your local stores that have a pharmacy as they are starting to get the J&J vaccine.

Still planning my (solo) Birthday Bash at WDW next January and am hoping to have a little more sense of normalcy by then. I will be checking your December Trip Reports (as well as everyone elses) to see how far we have come by then.

I'm in PA.... Montgomery county....and it is really hard to get on a vaccine list, let alone, get one. I'm a front line worker, a pharmacy technician at a small independent store and thankfully our "sister" store, in a different county got some, and we employees were able to get vaccinated! But not doing anything differently...home... work...home... maybe grocery store as needed.
Your trip sounds like it went well and you had a good time. I'm scheduled for solo trip the end of September. Hopefully still not too crowded yet for Food and Wine festival, my favorite time to go. Thanks for your updates. I love hearing how everyone's trip went.

I am glad you got a chance to visit the World when things seemed to be in a lull. I loved your honest approach, and am a little jealous, since we can't even really dream of a Disney trip right now with the border closed.

We're like you, staying home as much as possible, wearing a mask and playing "people are lava" when we have to go out. The vaccines are slow here in Ontario as well, but speeding up every day. We will get through this!

Looking forward to your December trip report, hopefully we're all much better off by then. Stay well!
