Fall Fun - Part 5

We had scheduled this as an Animal Kingdom day but decided we had done what we wanted to do already so decided to go to the Magic Kingdom instead. I canceled the two fastpasses we had at Animal Kingdom as well as our lunch at Yak & Yeti. I was able to book a couple of fastpasses at the Magic Kingdom.

Since it was an extra magic hour morning, I had set our wakeup time to 6 am. Neither one of us wanted to get out of bed and ended up sleeping until 7. Still we were on track to arrive at the park with 30 minutes left of extra magic hours. When we arrived, however, we discovered they had opened the park to the general public already - even though the website still listed 8-9 as extra magic hours and the "official" park hours posted in the park were from 9 am to 7 pm. That was annoying!!

In no particular order, we were able to do Country Bear Jamboree, Hall of Presidents, Libery Square Riverboat, Haunted Mansion (fastpass), Carousel, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World, Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Meraid, and Pirates (fastpass). Lunch was fried shrimp at Columbia Harbor House.

Since the weather seemed to be holding, we decided to return home and visit the pool. No sooner did we arrive at the pool, when we began to hear thunder. Still, my spouse managed to get a couple of dips in. We left just as the rain started and walked "home" in the rain.

We had no dinner reservations this evening so decided to walk over to the Turf Club Bar and Grill. We were seated immediately. I had the prime which was quite good. I believe my spouse had a steak but was not as pleased with it as I was with my prime. It poured again while we dined but the storm was over by time we walked back "home". We stayed in this evening; watched a bit of tv, had some ice cream we bought at the store after dinner, and I took a tubby before bed.
