My bride, Sharon, and I took our younger son, Mark, on a road trip to tour some of the colleges on his list of where he's interested in attending. This trip focused on North Carolina and Florida, and it worked out that we could fit in some time at Walt Disney World!
We drove to North Carolina on Sunday, July 9. We spent the night at a Comfort Inn in Thomasville (I'd recommend staying there only if you absolutely must). We toured High Point University in High Point, NC in the morning on July 10 and then drove to Salisbury, NC to tour Catawba College in the afternoon. We split the trip to Jacksonville, FL; we stayed at a Comfort Inn in Walterboro, SC off of I-95.
We drove the rest of the way to Jacksonville in the morning on July 11. We toured Jacksonville University in the afternoon. Following the tour we drove to Sanford, FL to stay at the Comfort Inn there (I recommend this Comfort Inn if you need to stay in Sanford).
