My Disney 2014 Year in Review Part 1Background

Reasons for this report:

This is a little different from my usual reports. For a number of reasons we did not make our usual week + vacation to WDW. The two biggest reasons being that Courtney got married on 10-18-14 in Palm Coast Fl. and the other being that Ron got a new job at.....Walt Disney World. So he has been in his new role since 9/30. The rest of us are still in the process of moving down.

Therefore, we had to settle for just a few days here and there.
So since I am missing both Ron and Disney right now, I have decided to combine our different days into a report for a little pick me up.

A Little Further Backgound:

We decided back in February or so that it was finally time for us to make the move to Florida. Ron let his now former company know that he was interested in transferring to an office down there. Hid manger let the Orlando office know that he was interested in a position that they might have. A few wweeks later he heard back from the manager in Orlando that they would soon have a position open but not until summer. That was perfect for us since it would allow Emily to finish school. That and the fact that Ashleigh was interested in attending a school down there led us to our first mini trip down in June. I took Ashleigh, the 2 smaller girls, and my friend Rose so that Ashleigh could visit the school and I could start searching for a place to live. Of course, we had to get a little Disney in while we were there as well as a little help I could give Courtney with her wedding arrangements. Not long after we found out that the position Ron was going to get was not going to be open til the fall or possibly later. In late July / early August Ron began applying to other companies since this now appeared to be in jeopardy. One of the companies was Disney. In early to mid September he had 2 phone interviews with Disney before being told that he had the job and needed to be in Orlando by the 25th to complete the process at Casting. He and I moved him down there the day he finished work at his old company. While down there he completed his hiring, found a temporary place to live, spent some time with Courtney and Jason, and had a little more time at Disney. While the rest of us came down in October for the wedding, we also had some fun at WDW as well.
