I have returned to WDW for the first time since 2019 and today was our EPCOT day and as a picky eater I always dreaded EPCOT food since my kids always want Chinese.

I was cruising World Showcase and stumbled on Regal Eagle Smokehouse at the American Pavilion and holy cow what a great place! My favorite counter service has always been Flame Tree, but I always left that place so stuffed that they needed to roll me over to the hippo cage afterwards

Regal Eagle was much more reasonable serving sizes, plus you could choose ANY side you wanted, not stuck with beans and slaw with no option to sub your side like at Flame Tree.

I left very satisfied and my only regret was that I didn’t get a desert (since for once I wasn’t stuffed at Disney).  I had ribs, mac and cheese, and soft drink for $22.  They had probably 6 or 7 entrees to pick from with 6 or 7 sides and 3 or 4 deserts including a huge slice of watermelon.

Hands down the best lunch this picky eater had had at Disney in a long time, it was so good I took the family there for dinner and I ate there again!

I liked it when I first tried it.  Was back once and I think they took away the pickles and sauces - you had to ask for them.  Curious if that's still the case.  Food was good both times.  Tasty and reasonable.

To me, Regal Eagle is just 'okay.' I only ate there once, though, but I get much better at Mission Barbeque here at home. I like Flame Tree because their spicing is so much different than 'normal' barbeques. Sides are not that big of a deal to me.

Has anyone tried both the Regal Eagle and the Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios?  I have not been to either but would like to try one of them.

Haven't done Roundup Rodeo BBQ because it seems like more of a family oriented than solo place.
