Our family is not obese by all means, but we have members ranging from size 12-18. Were also pretty tall. Just wondering if there have been any issues with people not fitting on the rides? We do fine on Forbidden Journey if that helps.
This is just speculation because I have not been on the ride yet myself. That said, the ride vehicle looks VERY similar to The Mummy. From what I can tell - it is track-based and has a firm, individual lap bar.
So, my assumption is that if:
1) A guest's size does not interfere with proper closure of the lap bar;
2) If a guest can ride on Forbidden Journey without issue (I am sure they thought about the existing fan base from this ride and some of the issues people have had riding this ride due to height, etc. - I do not think they would want to make the new ride MORE limiting);
3) If a guest has had no issue riding on The Mummy;
than, there is a very good probabilty they would be OK on Gringott's.
I know this is in no way official or even scientific, but I hope it helps a little bit!

OK, GOOD news - Just found in a reputable article that Gringott's was specifically designed for families with less height and weight restrictions than Forbidden Journey.
Also, according to the article Rows 3 and 6 have additional legroom. There is also a test seat you can check out in advance if you so desire.
Since Forbidden Journey has been no issue for you and your family, you should be good to go! :thumbsup:
