If this is "Disney After Hours" plus some Halloween stuff, then it is worth every penny! If they oversell it, and it is just a more expensive, watered-down Halloween party, then I'll be super annoyed. The old Disney After Hours events were the best thing I've never done at Disney, hands-down.

I have a silver of hope ... misplaced maybe, but hope.

We're thinking about it. We were supposed to do a big trip last year and canceled it. Now we're thinking of a road trip with just a few days in WDW. I'm trying to figure out how to maximize our time there without worrying too much about park reservations, etc. But, I would like to know if Splash Mountain will be open in it's current incarnation during the event.

They are skipping the whole time we will be there. I wonder why that is. 9/25 - 10/4

I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

The key to these events is whether they limit capacity to a reasonable number. At that point you can almost justify blowing the cash. Otherwise, it's an expensive night out. I've seen both and have been at a MNSSHP where I just left because the lines were long and it was overly crowded.

Here's hoping capacity is limited.
