Hi All,

I haven't been on here in years Neutral and have questions about Annual Passes. Hubby and I move to Florida for 3 months every year to get out of dreary MI weather in the winter and I would love to be able to just say "hey, let's go to MK to have dinner" etc.

I tried to look back on past discussions out there but those conversations were in 2018 so here goes nothing:

1) I think we can only buy Incridi-Pass (do not live in Florida), right?

2) Can we park hop?

3) Any blackout dates?

4) No more park reservations are needed, correct? If so, how does doing virtual queue work with AP's? Can we just do ANY virtual queues any day that we want to go?

Any and all information regarding AP's woould be much appreciated!!

Thanks,

Tracy

Welcome back!

Non-FL-residents only have the one option, as you said, the IncrediPass.

All annual passes allow for Park Hopping.

No blackout dates for the IncrediPass.

You can hold up to 5 park reservations at any one time with the IncrediPass. Now, this is different if you have a Disney Resort reservation. In that case, you can reserve for your entire stay.

Virtual queues are a bit strange. The morning virtual queue can be 'booked' at 7am and can be for the park you have reserved for the day. For the 1pm virtual queue, I believe you still need to be physically in the park where the attraction exists.

One more thing...PhotoPass/MemoryMaker is no longer included in the Annual Pass, but can be purchased as an 'add-on' for the life of the AP.

Just go to the WDW online site an check out the AP 'page' for more information.

If you have an annual pass and will be entering a park after 2 pm, you do not need a park reservation to do so with one exception - you won't be able to enter the Magic Kingdom after 2 pm on weekends unless you have a reservation for that park.

So, we DO still need park reservations? I thought they stopped that a couple pf years ago!

This is slightly confusing....sorry :(  As an example: We decide on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon that it would be fun to head to MK just to have dinner, we would need a park reservation to do so?

Yes.  If you plan to pop into Magic Kingdom on a weekend afternoon and you are an annual passholder, you would need a reservation for that park for that date.  Annual passholders are the only ticket holders that still require park reservations to enter parks.  If you are an annual passholder and plan to enter a park before 2 pm, you must make a reservation to enter the park you want to visit.  However, after entering that park, you can park hop to other parks.

Oops, just to make it a bit more confusing, I forgot to mention Good-to-go days.  Disney sometimes designates certain dates in certain months as good to do days.  On those dates, annual passholders are not required to make a park reservation to enter the park.  You would need to check the passholders reservation calendar to determine if any dates you want to visit are good to go days.

Sounds like having an AP isn't all it's cracked up to be!

I'd rather just purchase a 10 day pass, and then another, and then another... and be able to go whenever we'd like, and not have to make a park res.

Would stink if we had no plans on any given day, decide to try and make a park res, and not be able to go 😡 If we just had normal tickets, we could just get up and go with no worries 🤷

Yeah, they have found a way to make it about as confusing and frustrating as possible. If you think you might like to pop in on a Saturday here and there, you are almost better off just getting on the app and purchasing a one day ticket when you decide to go rather than having an AP. I would imagine they will remove these restrictions on AP's sometime in the near future though.
