Where do you go to book your flights? I usually use Kayak, but is there anything else I should check?

I book directly through the airline itself and usually book 5 or 6 weeks from my travel date. Doing it this way, I've scored great deals. Many think there is a savings booking through Orbitz, Kayak, etc., but there is no difference in price as the airline sets the price. Hotels are a different story. I saw a segment on the local news about this once.

Usually I go thru the airline also. I have used agents occasionally..... usually only for long haul international.

Also in dealing with a lot of business travel I have found that the "search one and done" **** that Kayak talks about is NOT true. If you search other options ... you can find flights that do not show up on their searches. Ditto all the other "discount" flight sites.
