I know that I saw that Big Thunder will be closed for rehab starting August 8th. I'm arrive on the 6th and wanted to try to get a fastpass for it for the 6th or 7th before the closure. Today was my day to make fastpass reservations and nothing was available for Big Thunder. Is it still scheduled to close on the 8th and they just ran out of fastpasses, or did they change the date of the rehab? I was surprised that I wasn't able to get fastpasses for it since I was able to get everything else, including the new Frozen ride.

It's more likely that many folks wanted to be sure they got in a last ride before the closure and their are no more fast passes left.
Two strategies:
1. Continue to check back frequently to see if fast passes become available - they do open up as others cancel
2. Arrive as early as possible and head for standby

Yes, that was my plan, to keep checking and to head there first thing (we were already planning on going there first thing Sunday since we scheduled our fastpasses for another park in the afternoon). I was just surprised that they were all gone so was wondering if they changed the rehab dates.
